Office support, real-time stats, and desktop notifications
There are a couple of things I really enjoy in life:
- Convenience
- Immediate feedback
With that in mind, I’m super happy to announce some features we’ve been working on.
Microsoft Office Support
In the convenience bucket, I am super happy to say we now support Power Point (ppt and pptx) as well as Word (doc and docx) formats, in addition to PDF.
To make use of this wonderful feature, just upload or update your documents in DocSend like you normally would. You’ll see that you can now select these new formats.
Desktop notifications
When something important happens, I want to know about it right away. Someone looking through a document I’ve sent them counts high on that list.
I put a lot of time into our documents, and when people take time to look through them it matters to me. Like when someone looks through our case studies, our product overview, or even a job description I’ve sent out.
Now, thanks to desktop notifications I get a nice little notification in the upper right anytime one of my documents is opened. Clicking on it takes me right to the stats view so I can see what’s happening.
Which brings me to my next point…
Real-time, Live-update Stats
I get impatient. I like seeing what’s happening right at this moment. So this feature is especially exciting.
If someone is looking through one of my DocSend links, I can now see the stats for the person’s visit update in real-time.
